Project overview
Centrum Air is one of the first private airlines in Uzbekistan. Their goal is to offer affordable, safe, and modern air travel across the region. However, the airline’s digital platform did not reflect this ambition. The old website created significant friction for users who wanted to explore destinations, book tickets, or find travel information.
Process
Research & Analysis
• Audited the existing website and identified usability issues.
• Reviewed competitor airline websites for UX patterns and industry best practices.
• Collected user feedback to understand pain points in booking and navigation.
Information Architecture
• Reorganized the site structure to improve content discoverability.
• Reduced steps in the booking flow to minimize friction.
Wireframing & Prototyping
• Developed low-fidelity wireframes to test navigation and flows.
• Iterated into high-fidelity prototypes with interactive booking scenarios.
Design System
• Built a scalable design system including typography, color palette, components, and responsive grids.
• Ensured accessibility and visual consistency across the platform.
Main Challenge
As the lead designer, my responsibility was to completely rethink the website experience:
• Redesign the website from scratch.
• Create a design system for consistency across all pages.
• Map out and optimize end-to-end user flows, focusing on the booking journey.
• Ensure seamless mobile-first design.















Result
The redesigned website transformed the digital experience of Centrum Air, according to the client, three months after the release:
• +30% booking conversion: Streamlined booking flow reduced drop-offs significantly.
• -40% mobile bounce rate: Responsive design improved usability and retention on mobile.
• Enhanced brand trust: A consistent design system aligned with the company’s modern identity.
